My life is gorgeous. My life is, from others view, out of a story book. No, I’m not bragging. No, I have issues. I’m far from perfect.
But, from standing afar, others would view my life as unimaginable! I want for nothing.
I have strong values about my children, family, work life, community, friends, and anything that’s within arms reach.
I’m a people pleaser, and a planner.
With all that being said, I find myself in the thick of things often. That feeling where your drowning, you walk into a room, start one thing, forget another. Getting sidetracked.
My kindness is short sided. I can’t sleep, my
mind is spiraling.
And guess what, I placed myself in this situation. No one asked me to do the 100 things on my list. No one is expecting half the things I expect of myself. But here I am.
Does any of this sound familiar? I found myself at this point last week, next thing I know, I’m online looking for a hotel room to escaping the glorious life I live. Or maybe I’ll go grab a drink? Binge watch TV, overeat, ahhhhhhhh….. why, and how do I keep placing myself in this spot.
My mission is to create a life I never want to escape from. Mindfulness helps me get there. So instead of doing the above events, that leave me in a worse spot. I choose ME.
I choose to embrace a lifestyle that allows me to be better then I was yesterday.
No, mindfulness doesn’t clean my house, it doesn’t tackle all my “to do’s”. What it does though, is assist me in focusing on the moment to calm the crazy. With the crazy calm, I then have the ability to over achieve, while feeling empowered!
I could offer a mini insight on meditation, but you’ll read it, and most likely not use it.
You need to feel inspired to want a change. As they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you cant force him to drink.
I have taught myself how to manage my mind. When you learn to manage it, you can calm the crazy. Your can then elevate yourself to a level that gives you more insight, more compassion, more opportunities for growth. Our minds have an infinite capacity. This doesn’t magically solve your problems. But it does help calm the crazy. You will move forward with more purpose 🌿
And isn’t that what all of this is about?
please join me soon, for up and coming podcast about how, and what it’s like to live in this state of mind.
